The YWCA (Young Women's Christian Association) is a non-profit organization, Salem, TamilNadu, India, providing programs for women based on the perceived need in the communities. Programs we provide are women care, child care, health and wellness, and employment training, The YWCA of Salem is affiliated to the YWCA of India and it is therefore part of the world YWCA.

The vision and mission of YWCA
Is to empower women at all levels to stand up for justice. This means moving into a Mission that is rooted in the reality of our country where people are victims of economic and social injustice and are manipulated by socio-religious and political powers.
Basis
Faith in God the father Almighty and in Jesus Christ, His only son,
Our Lord and Savior and in the Holy Spirit.
Our Aim
The YWCA of Salem rooted in the Christian faith subscribing to the basis as above endeavors to promote the full development of women and children irrespective of Race, Culture and Creed. It seeks to develop a membership that is responsive through service to the changing needs of the whole community in a changing world.
